Hello everyone! We're looking for contributors and/or volunteers to help us out with our fairly new home page for news submission. Two types of contributors are being sought: those who can post news like me and I have been doing as well as those who'd like to send in the latest news stories that the news posters could put up on the site. We're still working out the details on how the latter would work but if you're willing to do it, just post a reply here and we'll get back to you soon.
For those willing to be news posters, here are some rules/disclaimers/expectations/etc: 1. All news posts must be original work, i.e., no copy+paste. If you're not sure what that means, check the home page for the news submitted so far. We would appreciate witty writing. 2. While we expect 2 posts a day minimum, we can understand if that's not possible all the time. 3. Credit the original source of news and generally don't use blogs such as Engadget/Gizmodo as original sources unless they were the first to break the news. 4. To keep everything nice and consistent, we will have the right to fix any grammatical and spelling errors or any other inconsistencies with regards to our policies. Please understand that we strive to achieve the best possible quality with our news posts and hence we need the right to edit posts as we deem fit. 5. Any post(s) submitted to Expertsarena.info cannot be posted in the exact same form or substantially similar form, on any other website, forum or blog. We reserve the right to use the same in any way that we deem fit. If you accept these conditions, then post a reply in this thread along with 2-3 samples. What we want are sample news posts to evaluate your skills. These news items can be from any date you wish. For more details on what the posts generally consist of, consult the EA.in home page. We require a decent headline, a related photograph, the actual news, and the source link at the end or within the text of the news. EDIT: Please specify in your reply what kind of contribution would you like to make: do you want to post news or just inform the posters about breaking news and news that we could've missed? |
